I headed south last weekend for a spectacular wedding at Ojai Valley Inn and Spa. The ceremony was along the golf course at the resort and then guest were shuttled 2 miles to a Barn for dinner and dancing. What a contrast? And what a great idea! Whitney Stoner from Whitney Fusion Events and her staff was hired to pull off a fabulous weekend. And they did! Great little touches! Loved the idea of the guest sprinkling herbs on the ground where the couple was to stand during the ceremony. And loved her idea of how the first dance was announced. See part 2 for that. Bagpipers lead the guest after the ceremony to the shuttles. Photo #4 is the father of the groom giving the groom the keys to the bride's room. Never shot that before. Photo #5 and #6, and I think everyone has seen at least one kid not wanting to pose for a photo. Love the curley hair!!! I hope you get a chance to view this slide show below.
Here are more photos from this great event in SoCal. Dinner started off with the couple ringing the dinner bell. Guests feasted on a buffet of what else?...Chili, BBQ Chicken and Ribs, Salmon, Tri-Tip, Corn, Veggies, Scallop Potatoes, Corn Bread and much much more! There was a forest fire located somewhere in Southern California that caused the sky to turn purple during the last part of the sunset. I think the most dramatic part of the evening was when the door to the barn opened to the guest and the couple shared their first dance. You can see their video below. It's long...13 minutes...but so much to enjoy. The first 2 songs were given to me by the couple.

When you go to an Oakland A's game you don't expect to meet your future husband and wife. That's exactly what happened to this couple. Audrey and Travis tied the knot last week at the Lafayette Park Hotel. The couple had a traditional Persian Ceremony in the courtyard of the hotel. Both father's of the bride and groom let their emotions show during the vows. All in all a beautiful evening in the East Bay.
