I have never been interested in entering any "Print Competitions" so judges can critique a lighting flaw, a piece of hair dangling over the bride's face, or a blown out dress in the print. I've always said that the best reward for me is having couples happily engaged in their wedding images. If I can bring back a smile or a moment for them, that is why I love my work. Thank you to all of you who voted me in the "Best of Weddings." I didn't even know something like this existed.
Family and friends of Heather Hudson and Drew Bennett were bussed from San Francisco to the Wine Country for a day of wine tasting and the Rehearsal Dinner. The wine tasting tour took them to Artesa Winery and to Castello di Amorosa. They completed their day at the rehearsal dinner that was held at the Culinary Institute of America. Over dessert guests were treated to a private and spontaneous mini concert by country star and guest Jay Demarcus, guitarist and vocalist for Rascal Flats.
After I wrapped up this wedding and rehearsal day, I had racked up 27+ hours of shooting and had to edit over 4,500 images. It took me 48 hours to recover. But what an event! Connie Kearns from Bridal Network and McCalls Catering with floral designs from Miguel Torres designed a beautiful wedding. Here are just a few and I will post this wedding in my gallery page on my website. In the first photo(0537), Darlene Carlson preps Heather's hair on the 34th floor of Le Meredian in San Francisco. 5th photo (0775)the groom, Drew Bennett, makes final preparations with his brother's and groomsmen prior to the ceremony. 6th photo(0807) Connie Kearns calms the bride's nerves before she goes down the aisle. 8th photo(0930) Guests enjoy the cocktail reception on the balcony of the Bently Reserve.
