I spent a few hours yesterday photographing the engagement session for Allison and Nick. We had a beautiful fall day in San Francisco. I love the light this time of year. The couple were so comfortable in front of the camera even though Ali was a little nervous before the shoot. The wedding is set for March of 2010 at The Bentley Reserve.

A long distance relationship between Seattle and the Bay Area brings us to a engagement session at the Southwest Terminal in Oakland International Airport. The is also the place where Eric proposed to Melissa. With a ring in hand, Eric's proposal took place at the bottom of the terminal escalators. This couple plans to marry at Solage in September of 2010.

Hi Sherman, It took me a couple days, but I'm finally able to e-mail you. Just wanted to let you know we LOVE the pictures! They are awesome and really capture our wedding day.

There is one in black and white of my brother and me. He wasn't there when I was taking the other pictures with my siblings individually before the ceremony, you took it later in the night. It is so special to me. He is a contractor in Iraq and the day of our wedding, his team in Iraq was bombed and most of his teammates were injured. He was here enjoying the wedding...I obviously feel it was meant to be that he came to the wedding and was kept safe from harm. That photo is such a tender moment between the two of us and one of my favorites.

I spent an absolutely beautiful October afternoon in New York City photographing Jaimie and Chad's engagement photos. We started in Central Park and spent about 1 1/2 hours covering about 1/4 mile of the park. This park was built for photographers. If you haven't been in New York during the fall, I highly recommend it. The next stop was Grand Central Station on our way to Times Square. Can't wait to photograph their wedding in July at Kunde Estates.

I headed south last weekend for a spectacular wedding at Ojai Valley Inn and Spa. The ceremony was along the golf course at the resort and then guest were shuttled 2 miles to a Barn for dinner and dancing. What a contrast? And what a great idea! Whitney Stoner from Whitney Fusion Events and her staff was hired to pull off a fabulous weekend. And they did! Great little touches! Loved the idea of the guest sprinkling herbs on the ground where the couple was to stand during the ceremony. And loved her idea of how the first dance was announced. See part 2 for that. Bagpipers lead the guest after the ceremony to the shuttles. Photo #4 is the father of the groom giving the groom the keys to the bride's room. Never shot that before. Photo #5 and #6, and I think everyone has seen at least one kid not wanting to pose for a photo. Love the curley hair!!! I hope you get a chance to view this slide show below.
